Custom Name Badge FAQ
What size are your custom name badges?
Our badges are standard CR80 size, 3.375" × 2.125", the same as a credit card. You can order them horizontal or vertical, and every badge has rounded corners.
How much do custom name badges cost?
Each full-color badge is $12.00, with or without a slot punch. Accessories are extra: magnetic back $1.00, pin back $0.75, bulldog clip $0.75, lanyard $1.50, retractable badge reel $1.50, and clear ID holder $0.50.
Can I upload my own badge design?
Yes. Download our free horizontal or vertical template, design your badge with the background running to the bleed edge, and upload a PDF, PNG, JPG, SVG, AI, or EPS file at 300 DPI or higher.
Do I need a slot punch?
Choose a slot punch if you'll wear your badge on a lanyard, badge reel, or bulldog clip. Magnetic and pin backs don't need one, and neither does a clear ID holder, which has its own slot. The slot punch costs nothing extra.
What's the difference between magnetic and pin name badges?
A magnetic back holds your badge to clothing without making holes, which is great for nice shirts and blouses. A pin back is the classic option and stays put on thicker fabric like jackets and aprons.
Can I change the colors of a premade badge design?
Yes. Every premade design lets you pick its main and accent colors from swatches or a color picker, or type a hex code or Pantone (PMS) number. Your preview updates as you go. PMS colors are matched as closely as possible with full-color UV printing and confirmed in your free proof.
Can I order badges with different names on each one?
Yes. In the Quantity & Names step, list one name per line, with a title if you like. We'll set up every badge and include them all in your proof.
Will I see a proof before my badges are printed?
Yes. Every order includes a free digital proof, and nothing goes to print until you approve it. Need badges by a certain date? Add your deadline in the special instructions.
